About Us
Viewfield is a holiday let in Dumfries and Galloway. It was originally built in the 1850s as an old smiddy. There is a large workshop at the rear where the smiddy carried out his work for the local farmers. The old bellows are still intact in the workshop as a fine example of the history of the building.
The house features four bedrooms, with two twins and two doubles. Each bedroom includes bedding (and bathroom towels if required) for the duration of your stay. You can unpack and make yourself feel at home here. The quiet location is guaranteed to make sure you have a good night's sleep.
The country-style kitchen with a gas range cooker is the perfect place to cook up a meal for your family and friends. There is a large wooden table and chairs for eight, along with a dishwasher and all of the kitchen utensils and cutlery required for a group.
Viewfield has two living areas to sit and relax. There is a lounge with two double sofas and a television. Or take time out in the conservatory that overlooks the extensive garden.
At the moment, Viewfield has one bathroom. The family-sized room has a toilet, hand basin, large electric shower and a bath.
Outside, there are plenty of places to sit in the garden with a cup of tea and read a book, and soak up the country atmosphere.
We have just installed a brick charcoal BBQ for guests to use. Please note that charcoal is not included.
Other facilities include a washing machine, as well as a cot and high chair if required.
There is off-road parking for several cars, a boat or caravan.
Viewfield is a self catering holiday let in Dumfries and Galloway.
