Viewfield is a traditional Galloway house situated in the small village of Whauphill in Wigtownshire. The old smiddy sleeps eight in four bedrooms and is available for weekly self-catering let or B&B weekends for groups.

Located just four miles from Scotland’s National Book
Town - Wigtown - the property is ideal for holiday
makers who wish to enjoy the peacefulness of the
countryside, while still conveniently located near
town facilities.

For outdoor lovers, Viewfield is a perfect base for
those who love walking in the Galloway Hills or
mountain biking at the world-class 7 Stanes tracks.

Viewfield is a fully-contained house for eight people.
On two floors, it features a country-style kitchen with a
gas range cooker, lounge with gas fire, conservatory
overlooking the spacious garden and a large bathroom.

Mountain bikers will have the benefit of the large workshop facility to store and prepare bikes. There is also a pressure washer for cleaning their bikes.

2009 the first season to open Viewfield Cottage to holidaymakers. Some of the comments from guests include:
